“Managed Open-in” is a feature that allows organizations to protect the information that gets sent to employee devices. If Jamf Now is used to deliver email settings and Apps, your users will only be able to open attachments in the Apps that Jamf Now delivered. This means that presentations and sales reports only end up in work apps and not in a user’s personal Dropbox account. When the device gets removed from Jamf Now, the entire work email account along with the Apps and documents shared will be securely erased from the device.
Note: The “Managed Open-in” feature requires the use of Apple’s Volume Purchase Plan (VPP) for App distribution.
