When you select a device and send a Lock command, Jamf Now will put the device to sleep. Think of it as remotely pressing the Sleep/Wake button on your iOS device. If a passcode is set on the device (recommended), this passcode will be required to unlock, or wake, the device. An internet connection on the device receiving this command is required.
Note: If the device does not have a passcode set, no passcode will be required to wake this device. Requiring a passcode on your devices makes this a very effective security feature.
