We are aware of a product issue that may impact iOS devices attempting to perform iOS Updates initiated by Jamf Now. Typically the update will fail with the displayed error referencing Single App Mode.
How to resolve
To resolve, the passcode must be temporarily removed from the device along with the resend of the iOS Update command. Here is what the workaround process would look like:
1. Temporarily remove the passcode set on a device. This can be done remotely via the 'Unlock Device' command detailed here:
2. Once removed, the 'iOS Update' command can be sent to the device again to allow for a successful automatic initiation of the iOS Update.
3. Post iOS Update, as long as "Require Passcode" is enabled in the blueprint, the device should automatically require a new passcode to be set on the device.
